One of the keys success are affirmations. Once we repeat them over and over again, then they become a habit.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. —Aristotle
Just imagine: If you could have it all, what would you do and be in your life? What feats would you dare to accomplish and where would you go? Just imagine your life lived without limits.
In order to reach an intended destination, you have to know your intended destination. So to get to your intended destination you need to have a clear idea of what exactly you want, where you want to go, and how you want to change.
Write all your ideas and wants, the way you want to change in a definite statement, declaring them solidly. And once you have declared them then create positive affirmation to back up your statement.
Without exception, positive affirmations are the key to all advancement and achievements, and the most powerful and successful affirmations are the ones we design around our goals in the areas of our life that are most important to us: health, spiritual connection, money, career, intimate relationships, relationships with your family and friends.
You need to take time to decide what you want for yourself and how do you want your life to be? And, I’m telling you, if you don’t make a decision for yourself, chances are that someone else will make that decision for you and this is not how life is supposed to be.
Coming from a Greek culture, back then, women were not supposed to succeed in life. They did not have the freedom to even express themselves, express their beliefs, their wants, their feelings, let alone succeed in life.
I was taught to get married, have children and take care of the family so I developed the belief that as a woman that’s all you have to do and those believe were ingrained in my mind.
I was empty as a human. I was not growing! That emptiness and the pain of not being able to be myself gave me that burning desire to succeed in life. That desire for freedom and success made me make a solid decision to break that mentality and overcome those beliefs by implementing new ones.
I decided to create a vision of how I wanted my life to be. First step was to create that vision. Then I began creating a solid goal for my future, and then a written statement with some affirmations.
It was unbelievable how my mind shifted! I already believed that I was living in England (even though I was still in my little city). I already believed that I was studying and succeeding and it seemed crazy for a moment but it felt GREAT. It was the best feeling that I had ever had since I remember being a child and I never said anything to anyone, until the day I left for England.
My first affirmation was in such contrast to what my beliefs were it still resonates with huge impact to this day:
I am beautiful. I am wise. I am strong. I am confident. I am powerful. I am successful.
Mind you, when I wrote this, I didn’t believe it. Not one bit. And there was a very good reason: It wasn’t true. Not yet. But I decided I would like it to be true. That is who I wanted to become. I wanted to live and succeed in one of the best countries in the world and the only way that would happen would be if I designed that new belief and engrained it into my brain.
Over the years, I have added to the list and redesigned the statements I tell myself… Here are a few:
• God has brought me in this world to love, grow and give.
• I give myself permission to be successful.
• I love abundance…abundance loves me.
• I am a money magnet and I have the ability to generate any amount of income I choose.
Affirmations will help you fulfill your prophecies. Think of affirmations as the core principles of the life you are visualizing. Make a list and read them when you wake up and before you go to bed. That way you will stay on track towards your goals and dreams. You deserve to decide for yourself exactly how you want to live your life.
Create powerful declarations and affirmations in each category—health, wealth, relationships, business and spirituality—that support your new vision.
Print them out, write them down, create audios and listen to your voice over and over agin. Through repetition—affirmations on audio, visualization and meditation—you will begin to replace your old beliefs with the new.
No matter what your current circumstances are, if you can imagine something better for yourself, you can create it.
